EA Announces Star Wars Squadrons - Coming To PS4, Xbox One, PC This Fall
/ Stephen CraneEA announced today the next title from their Montréal-based studio EA Motive (@MotiveMontreal).
Star Wars Squadrons will be a first-person multiplayer dogfighting game set in the Star Wars universe after the event of the movie Star Wars: Episode 6. The game will feature 5v5 multiplayer, as well as a single-player campaign, and support PlayStation VR and VR on PC.
EA Motive last worked on 2017’s Star Wars Battlefront II, primarily on the single-player campaign. They were then also merged with Bioware Montreal in 2017 after the critical failure of Mass Effect Andromeda. Interestingly the game is not confirmed for PlayStation 5, or Xbox Series X, but with backward compatibility, that shouldn’t be an issue. We’ll find out more about the game, including a glimpse of gameplay this Thursday at EA’s EAPlayLive event.
Star Wars Squadrons will be out on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on October 2, 2020.
