/Longtime Montréal game dev community hub GamePlay Space (@GamePlaySpace) has announced they’re closing after eight years of serving the game dev community in the city.
In their statement shared on social media, the organization cites the pandemic as a major hurdle and their “collective efforts were not enough to secure the vitality of the business.”
Hundreds of devs shared their sadness at the announcement across social media, sharing memories of the ways in which GamePlay Space had helped them over the years and given them a community.
