Newfoundlander Jennifer Hale Issues Statement Regarding Bayonetta 3 Voice Acting Controversy

Newfoundlander Jennifer Hale has released a statement amid the Bayonetta 3 voice acting controversy that’s erupted on social media since original Bayonetta voice actress Hellena Taylor called on fans to boycott the upcoming Bayonetta 3, claiming she was offered an “insulting” fee for returning to the roll.

Hale will be voicing Bayonetta in the highly anticipated sequel releases exclusively for Nintendo Switch on October 28.

Several industry professionals have voiced their support for Hale in the replies.

Taylor made her accusations in what she described as a nondisclosure-breaking video where she accused Bayonetta 3 writer and Platinum’s chief game designer Kamiya of offering her an “immoral” compensation for the role, which she’s voiced since Bayonetta in 2009.

Kamiya‘s Twitter account was temporarily restricted over the weekend because of some responses he’d posted regarding Taylor’s allegations.
