/Ubisoft has announced the latest episode of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey DLC. Episode 2 of The Fate of Atlantis is now available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Judging from the synopsis, trailer and screenshots - players will be going to Hell:
Torment of Hades transports players to the Underworld, a vast world of endless gloom filled with wandering dead, ruled by the sharp and cunning Hades. As the story unfolds, players will come face-to-face with the ghosts of their past and continue their journey in mastering the Staff of Hermes. Montreal — June 4, 2019 —Today, Ubisoft announced that Torment of Hades, the second episode of the post-launch story arc of Assassin’s Creed® Odyssey The Fate of Atlantis, is now available on the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, the Xbox One family of devices including Xbox One X and Windows PC.
Torment of Hades transports players to the Underworld, a vast world of endless gloom filled with wandering dead, ruled by the sharp and cunning Hades. As the story unfolds, players will come face-to-face with the ghosts of their past and continue their journey in mastering the Staff of Hermes. In order to escape the afterlife, players will have to help the dead find their rightful resting place and settle the debt that Hades demands.
Each of the episodes of The Fate of Atlantis will introduce new ability enhancements related to the different branches of the skill tree – Hunter, Warrior and Assassin. In this second episode, players will discover three new ability enhancements, including:
Kronos Time Shift is part of the Warrior branch of the skill tree, and will launch players into the air while temporarily blinding surrounding enemies. While you are in the air, time stops for a moment, letting you use abilities from above or in a chain with Leap of Faith’s ground smash. When you shoot in the air, the damage will also automatically crit targets.
Ares Last Breath is also part of the Warrior branch of the skill tree. This healing ability will grant immunity to enemy attacks, restore 5% of damage dealt as Health and automatically parry enemy melee hits.
Artemis Trickery is part of the Hunter branch of the skill tree, and will transform players’ arrows into deadly traps that detonate and deal damage to enemies that come in close proximity. Any type of arrow can be used and will offer a different type of effect on detonation.
In order to play Torment of Hades, players will have two different options:
Following the main game, players will have to complete the questline Between Two Worlds, the mythological main game story arc, and the Lost Tales of Greece questline Heir of Memories that is available after completing the former questline. Finally, they must have reached character level 28 or above.
Players who do not fulfill all the above conditions will be able to use a shortcut created specifically for them. Thanks to this shortcut, players will enter Greece level 52 with preset abilities and resources, enabling them to start their adventure into the afterlife with Heir of Memories. They will also have the opportunity to choose their hero. However, contrary to the previous option, player progression using the shortcut will not carry over to the main game save, and they will not be able to obtain achievements.
The Assassin’s Creed Odyssey post-launch plan is the biggest and most ambitious in the franchise, and season pass owners will be able to access two major episodic storylines, Legacy of the First Blade and The Fate of Atlantis. Players can dive into new episodes as they premiere or experience the epic adventures in their entirety once all episodes are available. The season pass also includes Assassin’s Creed® III Remastered and Assassin’s Creed® III Liberation Remastered, which released for the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, the Xbox One family of devices including Xbox One X and Windows PC on March 29, 2019.
The Fate of Atlantis can be purchased as part of the Assassin’s Creed® Odyssey Season Pass for $49.99 or as part of The Fate of Atlantis story arc for $34.99 and will be downloadable for players who already own the Season Pass or Gold Edition starting today.

Next Assassin's Creed Odyssey DLC - The Fate of Atlantis - Hits April 23rd
/Now that all three episodes of Assassin Creed Odyssey’s first DLC chapter Legacy of the First Blade is out and finished, it’s time for the second chapter! The first episode of The Fate of Atlantis is coming April 23rd to all platforms, as part of the Season Pass for the game.
“As the story of Fields of Elysium unfolds, players will traverse the paradise of Elysium, an otherworldly realm of great beauty, to reveal its sinister secrets all while facing against the might of the Isu. Players will encounter both new factions and familiar characters, and acquire new legendary weapons and gear.”
Along with a new story, the DLC will come with new ability enhancements which will modify abilities to alter this functions:
“Ability enhancements are divided into each branch of the skill tree, Hunter, Warrior and Assassin, and several will be introduced in each episode, starting with Ares Bull Charge, Might of Artemis, Kronos Time Warp and Ares Madness in Fields of Elysium.”

The first episode, Fields of Elysium, will release April 23 across all available platforms. Throughout Fields of Elysium and the following two episodes, players will continue their Odyssey in the Greek afterlife to uncover the great mysteries that lie within the ancient realms of the gods.
As the story of Fields of Elysium unfolds, players will traverse the paradise of Elysium, an otherworldly realm of great beauty, to reveal its sinister secrets all while facing against the might of the Isu. Players will encounter both new factions and familiar characters, and acquire new legendary weapons and gear.
Fields of Elysium will also introduce all-new Ability enhancements, which modify existing abilities to alter their function, giving players the opportunity to further fine-tune their playstyles. Ability enhancements are divided into each branch of the skill tree, Hunter, Warrior and Assassin, and several will be introduced in each episode, starting with Ares Bull Charge, Might of Artemis, Kronos Time Warp and Ares Madness in Fields of Elysium.
Following the first story arc, Legacy of the First Blade, The Fate of Atlantis will see our hero confront deities, encounter terrifying beasts of myth, and forge new bonds with a colorful cast of characters. Google's Upcoming Streaming Service Stadia Has Canadian Roots
/Last month Google announced their upcoming Cloud-based video game streaming service, Stadia. Details are a little light (such as release date), but we do know that you’ll be able to stream Ubisoft Quebec’s Assassin’s Creed Odyssey on practically any device.
While Google is obviously a giant worldwide corporate, I was told on some of the Canadian aspects of the service - specifically from Google’s Kitchener-Waterloo office. The below bullet points were provided to me via email, but our friends at Mobile Syrup also wrote an in-depth article on it.
Stadia has a unique Canadian connection as Google’s Kitchener-Waterloo engineering office played an instrumental role in developing the platform.
Stadia controller: The Waterloo team worked on all the software that runs on the controller (not physical controller itself). Eg. Software for device setup, personalization and communication.
Stadia: Specifically, the Waterloo team was tasked to solve the problem: how do we get games on the platform, working well, optimized?
You ca n check out Google’s blog on Stadia here, as well as watch the live-stream from last month. We will have to wait and see how many Canadian games follow Ubisoft and offering their games on the service.

Montreal — March 5, 2019 — Today, Ubisoft announced that Bloodline, the final episode of the first post-launch story arc of Assassin’s Creed® Odyssey Legacy of the First Blade, is now available on the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, the Xbox One family of devices including Xbox One X and Windows PC.
In Bloodline, the third and final episode of Legacy of the First Blade, our hero will finally face the mysterious villain who has been playing puppet master throughout the story arc. After a brutal attack, players will try to protect the Assassin’s legacy by fighting against those who are trying to eradicate the Tainted Ones.
Each episode of Legacy of the First Blade features a new ability for each branch of the skill tree: Hunter, Warrior and Assassin. While the first two episodes introduced new Assassin and Hunter abilities, this third and final episode will present players with a new Warrior ability, Fury of the Bloodline. It will allow players to unleash a series of devastating blows with the Spear of Leonidas, increasing the number of attacks with each level.
To access Bloodline, players must have completed Hunted and Shadow Heritage, the first and second episodes of Legacy of the First Blade, and the Naxos questline in Chapter 7 of the main story of the game and must have reached character level 28 or above.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey Legacy of the First Blade Episode 2 Out Now
/Ubisoft have already released Episode 1 to their first Assassin’s Creed Odyssey DLC Episode, and now players will be able to download Episode 2 (of 3).
