Bit Bazaar Summer 2015 Lineup Announced

Bit Bazaar #5 was only a couple of months ago, and it was a great way to see some of the awesome game developers in Toronto.  I also came home with a lot of swag.  Bento Miso has announced the summer line up of the event, which this time will be hosted at Ontario's Celebration Zone at Harbourfront Centre.  The line up is a little bit of the same as last time, but some new ones like Quench, and Runbow.

Toronto Media Arts Center Event: Consultation Meeting (Tell The City You're Pissed)

I written about what is happening with the Toronto Media Arts Center before. Tonight is actually the first opportunity the community has to tell the city how they feel about it.  There are a lot of great organizations that can use this center, especially Dames Making Games, and Bento Miso who are doing great work for the Toronto Game Developer scene.

You have to register for the event, which you can do so here. There is also a handy infographic here. If you can't make the event, you can contact your local city councillor with a letter.

Kickstarter: Loud On Planet X

The guys over at Pop Sandbox have announced their Kickstarter for Loud On Planet X, the indie music rhyme game. It's one I've been checking out the last little while, and I'm glad the team has decided to go full force with funding.

LOUD on Planet X is an arcade-style indie music game featuring Tegan and Sara, METZ, Metric, Lights, July Talk, F*cked Up, Cadence Weapon, Austra and more.

Choose from a cross-section of top current indie music artists, then defend your stage from hordes of quirky aliens by tapping to the music and using a fun assortment of makeshift weapons like speakers, strobe lights, fog machines, amplifiers, bouncers and custom special attacks!

LOUD on Planet X is an exciting new indie alternative to Rock Band or Guitar Hero with a splash of Plants vs Zombies – a new hybrid of rhythm game and classic shooter with tower defence elements

The game looks straight up awesome. Make sure to check out the Kickstarter campaign.
