Canadian GameDevs Is Doing Extra-Life

For the fifth year, we’ll be doing Extra-Life. If you’re unfamiliar with Extra-Life, it’s basically playing games for 24-hours, while raising money to donate to Children’s Hospitals. Stephan and I will be doing our own individual donations, but we’ll also be donating our November Patreon income. Make sure to check out our page, please share it with friends and family, and we’ll be streaming games on Twitch.

If you’re interested in donating, or joining our team you can do so here. Also for the month of October - all the money we get from Patreon will go to our Extra Life campaign.

So join us on Twitch, and remember to donate. We’ll see you November 3rd at 8:00am!

Let's Talk - Jazzpunk Director's Cut Is Weird, Funny, And An Easy Platinum

I'm back with another Let's Talk! This time I talk about Jazzpunk which is a game I played over Extra Life - I'd give it a shot either on PlayStation or on Steam!

Jazzpunk Director's Cut is currently out on PlayStation 4 (with the normal version being out on Steam). It's a fun, and confusing game so I give my thoughts on it! Make sure to check out www.torontogamedevs.com for the latest!

Extra Life 2016 Recap - Thank You!

Just wanted to give a quick thank you to everyone who donated, joined my stream, shared it with their network, or just rooted for me during Extra Life. Together we raised $530 dollars for Sick Kids Hospital here in Toronto.

Hey! I just wanted to post a quick video thanking everyone for their support during Extra Life. Together we raised $530 dollars for Sick Kids here in Toronto! You can actually still donate at the Extra Life site: http://www.extra-life.org/index.cfm?fuseaction=donorDrive.participant&participantID=222345

If interested, you can still donate here. I'll be streaming more, so make sure to follow me on Twitch.tv!

Announcement: Double Patreon Funds For October Going Directly To Extra Life

I mentioned over Twitter the other night about this, but I thought I would post about it here as well. As I've mentioned, I'll be taking part in Extra Life again for the third year in a row - hoping to raise funds for Sick Kids here in Toronto while playing Toronto developed games.

This year I'll be doing something else as well. I have a Patreon set up to help fund the website. If you're unfamiliar with Patreon, it's similar to Kickstarter - basically funding projects you love while getting rewards. This year, whatever Patreon amount I have for October, I will double it and make that my contribution to Extra Life.

Currently the TorontoGameDevs Patreon is at $49 dollars (USD, so I'll adjust to CAD for the donation). If I don't get any new Patreon's, my Extra Life contribution will be $98 dollars (USD, again I'll adjust, and probably round up). If Patreon is $125, then my contribution will be $250, etc.  I'll go to a max of $1000 dollars (so $500 dollars in Patreon funds).

You can cancel Patreon anytime, so in November you're welcome to cancel it, no big deal. You can also donate directly to the Extra Life campaign if that's your cup of tea.

So become a Patreon today! And we'll see you November 5th.

Join The TorontoGameDevs.com Extra Life Team

For the past two years I've been participating in the Extra Life, which is an annual event where gamers around the world play games for 24 hours, raising money for hospitals. Usually people stream, and do social media for the event as well.

If you're interested, the event takes place November 5th (although you can do it any day that works for you), and you can join Team TorontoGameDevs.com!  Personally I'll be playing a bunch of Toronto developed games, but I'll post the full list closer to the date.

I'll be posting about this more, but I'll be streaming it on Youtube and/or Twitch, and tweeting along as well. You can also donate here.

Saturday November 7th - TorontoGameDevs.com Does Extra-Life - UPDATE: All Done!

Edit: From the looks of it, I can only stream on the site for a bit. Hit up the Twitch page for a continuous stream.

Update November 8th: All done! Thank you to everyone for tuning in and helping me stay away on Twitter. See you next year!
